Joy Pfuhl, PT President, Owner
With a combined 20 years of experience in the physical therapy field, Joy has worked at Duke University and was a Regional Director of Operations with a national rehabilitation company. Joy has since completed over 17 post-graduate manual therapy and orthopedic courses, adding to her extensive knowledge within the field. She graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy and has a BS from the University of Iowa. You can often find Joy watching Netflix, traveling, exercising and cheering on her favorite Carolina Panthers!
Joyce Kight, PT Vice President, Owner
Joyce has over 20 years of experience in physical therapy, with a focus in orthopedics and sports medicine. Previously, she worked with a national rehabilitation company and was awarded a Clinical Fellowship of Excellence in Clinical Care and Customer Service. Joyce has a BS in Physical Therapy from The Ohio University. She has also successfully completed over 30 post-graduate courses in orthopedic manual therapy, the spine, pelvis, and women’s health. In her spare time, Joyce enjoys walking her Gordon Setter, Haleigh; watching the Florida Gators dominate on the football field and cycling like there’s no tomorrow.
Jacques Thillet RN, SN, 500RYT Instructor
Jacques’ interest in yoga began almost by accident, after following his wife to a class at their local YMCA. This continued interest led him to obtain his 500 hour RYT certification. Jacques believes that “we are all students of the art of yoga, each on the same path, just at slightly different overlooks each beautiful and majestic but with a different vantage point.”

DC has been a part of the fitness industry for 20 years. Certified in Yoga, TRX, Crossfit, and Muay Thai. His attention, balance, compassion, and mindset has enhanced the lives of many. He comes to you ready to stretch you, stress you, and strengthen you. Mind, body and breath!!!!
Rachael Harper, E-RYT, RYT500, R-HYI Instructor
Born and raised in the Charlotte, NC area, Rachael has found her calling through not only teaching yoga and practicing hands-on Thai yoga, but facilitating a space for community- where anyone can practice, teachers can share their love of yoga, and life-long friends are made. She began teaching yoga in 2010 and is grateful for the opportunity to introduce herself as a full time yoga teacher and student, Thai yoga practitioner, studio owner and facilitator of good vibes. Rachael is a registered E-RYT with the Yoga Alliance and has completed trainings with many different yoga schools, including Wilmington Yoga Center’s 500hr Kunga Yoga program. She enjoys teaching alignment-based vinyasa among other styles of yoga, but especially loves empowering beginners in their practice, challenging them to safely and mindfully step outside their comfort zone.
Roline McGinnis Physical Therapist
Roline McGinnis received a BA from Vanderbilt University, continued on to get her Certificate of Physical Therapy from Emory University and completed her education by receiving her M.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama Birmingham. She has worked at Grady Memorial Hospital, ABC Home Healthcare, Carolinas Medical Center, and for the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. In her spare time, Roline enjoys relaxing with her husband and their three sons, traveling, and sitting knee deep in the water somewhere.
Julia Pizza hails from the land of Chicago. With a BS from Bradley University already under her belt, Julia plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy. When Julia is not at KCP, she enjoys listening to live music, hiking, and reading whatever book she can get her hands on.
Sybil is a university graduate of UBC in Canada in the Health Food Sciences. She worked as a private caterer, food service manager, pharmaceutical rep. and for the last 20 years, a mom raising three children and developing her skills as a yoga mentor. Sybil partners with the healthcare teams in her community helping clients and students out of pain and discomfort and into a more comfortable way of living and moving. Sybil incorporates simple traditional Yoga asana, breath practices, mantra, with yogic philosophies and Ayurveda perspectives and practices.
